Matt and Chantal McGee
Matt and Chantal McGee moved to Cimarron, Colorado in 2004 to start Sonrise Mountain Ranch. The McGees have seven children: Maddison, Abby Grace, Rebekah, Eden, Zeke, Vivian Joy and Colson, two sons-in-law – Cole Fritz and John Weary – and two beautiful granddaughters.
Adam and Kim Turner
Kim serves as lead cook and Adam, in addition to his day job in Montrose, washes dishes and helps with the facilities crew when he can. They have two adult children who are married and live close by.
Nathan and Staci Schulz
Nathan serves as Facilities Director and Staci serves as Assistant Cook in the kitchen. Their children, Paige, Levi and Ayden help in the children’s ministry, worship team and anywhere else they can including crawdad fishing lessons!

Hi Sonrise families! Interning at Sonrise in 2020 was so fun I decided to come back for a second summer, this time in a new role. As a military kid, I like to say I’m from all over…but after my dad retired from the Air Force last summer, my family decided to establish our homebase in Colorado Springs. I’m loving being outside and connecting to community there. I recently graduated from James Madison University, where one my favorite leadership opportunities involved coordinating small groups for InterVarsity. I’m now enjoying working at The Classical Academy, a classically inspired charter school in C Springs. After this summer, I’ll be back in C Springs at Woodmen Valley Chapel as their Connect & Grow resident. I can’t wait to meet everyone and see what God has in store for this summer!
Zeke McGee

Hey y'all! My name is Zeke McGee and I am from Cimarron, Colorado. I just graduated from high school and will be attending Colorado School of Mines this fall pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. I love running, skiing, playing music, camping, and DIY projects. I am super excited to get to meet everyone and can't wait for all God will do this summer!
Jillian Trowbridge

Hey y'all, my name is Jillian and I'm so excited to meet you this summer! I just graduated from Lewis Palmer High School in Monument, CO - at long last! I plan to study psychology at a Christian school in California to become a counselor or social worker, with an emphasis in family relationships. That's why I can't wait to spend time with you all and learn a little more about this calling God has put on my heart! In my (limited) free time, you'll find me devouring books (I especially love mysteries), hiking the nearby mountains (I've done 14 fourteeners so far), working out at the gym, or getting coffee with a friend (fav order is a brown sugar shaken espresso). So grateful to have the opportunity to serve you this summer!

Hey y’all!! My name is Elizabeth (or Ebeth for short)! I grew up in the North Georgia Mountains and just finished my second year at Kennesaw State University where I’m studying accounting. I love anything adventurous and outdoors! Bouldering, playing the guitar and piano, watching the sunset, and reading on the dock have a special place in my heart. I cannot wait to see how God will move in your lives this summer!
Abby Jo Utecht

Hey y’all! My name is Abby Jo Utecht, and I’m from Rapid City, SD. I’m 19 years old and I just finished my Freshman year of college at Black Hills State University as a Music Education major. I love animals of all kinds and I hope to someday start my own homestead. I’m an avid reader and writer, and I love lifting weights, hiking, kayaking, fishing, listening to music, singing, playing games, and spending time with my people. I look forward to seeing how God works in and through me this summer and eagerly await meeting you all!
Caleb Mohr

Hello everyone! My name is Caleb and I am from Colorado Springs, CO. I am currently going into my senior year at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. While at Samford, I hope to graduate from nursing school and continue to a Nurse Practitioner school in the future. Growing up in Colorado, I found a love for skiing, hiking and fishing and can’t wait for more outdoor adventures! I am so thrilled to see how the Lord works through this summer and Sonrise!
Maddox Davis

Hey y’all! My name is Maddox Davis and I’m from Fairhope, Alabama. I just finished up my senior year of high school and plan to attend Delta State University in the fall to pursue a degree in aviation. Some things I love are flying, being in nature, working on old vehicles, and growing vegetables. I also enjoy sports, working out, and being in or around the water. I’m so excited to meet everyone and work alongside you as we grow closer to God!
Susanna Swicegood

Hi everyone! My name is Susanna Swicegood and I’m from Spartanburg, South Carolina. This fall I will be a senior at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. A few things I am passionate about include dance, worship, being outside (beach, mountains and anywhere in between), working with little ones, and having deep conversations with people. I am so excited to be working at Sonrise this summer and can’t wait to see what the Lord will do!
