Preparing Sonrise for the Summer Retreat Season
The summer retreat season is the peak of activity at Sonrise Mountain Ranch. Each year a team of volunteers spend a weekend in May working together to prepare the grounds for the summer season.
Sonrise Mountain Ranch is located on 20 acres in a breathtaking valley nestled in the San Juan mountains of Colorado. The property contains ¼ mile of the Big Cimarron river, a nature trail that follows the river, and a small lake. The property is immaculately maintained, but that means a lot of work! We welcome help from anyone who doesn't mind getting their hands a bit dirty and investing some sweat equity in the upkeep of Sonrise.
Grounds and Facilities
To ready the grounds and facilities, we'll spend Saturday working on indoor and outdoor projects. This could include landscaping, painting, clean up, kitchen prep, and much more.
Prepare our Hearts
To prepare our hearts, we'll spend Sunday in family-friendly prayer times, asking for God's blessing on the upcoming retreats during our annual Prayer Summit.
