You’ll receive a card with some questions to get the conversation started. Use the drive. As the kids share, listen deeply. Don't rush back into "normal" too quickly.
Family Huddle
Within your first week home, gather the family around the table or living room without the phones. Ask each person what they're bringing home from Sonrise, agree to check in with each other on these takeaways, and pray for God's help. Even ten minutes of connection can set the tone for what comes next. Many have found this the right time to discuss a new Tech and Attention Gameplan.

Read the Book
The View from the Rocking Chair by Matt McGee was written for families like yours — to help you take what you experienced at Sonrise and root it into daily life. It's honest, practical, and worth reading together. Don't rush. Soak in the concepts for lasting change.
Host a Small Group
One of the most powerful things you can do is share what you've discovered at Sonrise with others. Gather a few families from your church or neighborhood and work through the book together. You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to start the conversation and watch how God moves!

We'd love to have you praying alongside us regularly. Prayer team members receive updates about upcoming retreats and specific requests to bring before the Lord.

- Project Weekend and Prayer Summit: Families and friends of Sonrise come together once a year to pray over the ministry and prepare the ranch for the summer retreat season. It's one of the most meaningful weekends of the year.
- Mission Builder: Opportunities are available throughout the year for those with a few days, a skill, and a willing heart.
