Counselor / Intern
During our summer Family Retreats, counselors work in the youth and children’s program under the direction of the Youth and Children’s Program Director.
Counselors also assist in the programmed family activities (object lessons, games, campfires), serving and cleaning up after meals, and other tasks/projects that are part of the ministry.
Youth & Children's Program Director
Each summer, Sonrise hires a seasonal Youth and Children’s Program Director.
This position will provide oversight for the youth and children’s program during retreats. It reports to and works closely with the Retreat Director to ensure the youth/children’s program helps accomplish the overall mission of each retreat.
Kitchen Team
This team prepares meals for our guests and staff during our Summer family retreats.
Team members help with inventory, shopping, meal preparation and cleanup. The cooking team prepares between 1 and 3 meals a day during retreats for 40-60 adults and children.
Sonrise hires a combination of full time (living in Cimarron) and part-time (commuting from Montrose) positions. Two, three, and four day-a-week part-time positions are possible.
Facilities Team
Sonrise hires one or more individuals to join our Facilities Team to help maintain and improve the buildings and grounds throughout the summer.
Part time and full time positions are possible.
