Serving at Sonrise
Serving as a Mission Builder at Sonrise Mountain Ranch is an excellent opportunity to invest in the ministry in a hands-on, practical way. to We have regular mission builder volunteer opportunities for individuals, couples, or small groups to help Sonrise care for and enhance our facilities.
Sonrise Mountain Ranch is located on 20 acres in a breathtaking valley nestled in the San Juan mountains of Colorado. The property contains ¼ mile of the Big Cimarron river, a nature trail that follows the river, and a small lake.
The property is immaculately maintained, but that means a lot of work! We welcome help from anyone who doesn't mind getting their hands a bit dirty and investing some sweat equity in the upkeep of Sonrise.
Lodge
The Sonrise Mountain Ranch lodge overlooks the lake on the property and has approximately 6000 square feet including a commercial kitchen, two dining rooms, a dedicated youth and children’s area, a great room meeting area, an office area, and a large outdoor patio.
Cabins
There are 8 cabins at Sonrise Mountain Ranch. Each cabin has a great room, kitchen, bedrooms as noted, one bathroom, and deck area.

When: In the Fall, Winter, and Spring (when retreats are not in progress)
What: Facilities maintenance and special projects
Lodging: Provided at no cost in our guest cabins
Meals: Volunteers provide meals for themselves in the guest cabins, which have full kitchens
Duration: From a few days to a few weeks, based on the Sonrise needs at the time
